Installing your eSIM

I deleted my eSIM from my phone. Can I get it back?

No. A deleted eSIM cannot be reinstalled, and the code that installed it will not work again.

A plan on a deleted eSIM is not refundable either, because the allowance had already been issued to your phone.

This is the one thing worth being careful about. Leave the travel line in place until the plan has ended, even if you are not using it.

Can I move my eSIM to a new phone?

No. It cannot be moved once it is installed. The profile lives on the phone that downloaded it, and deleting it there does not release it.

If you are changing phones mid-trip, the working answer is a new plan on the new phone.

Install on the phone you actually intend to travel with. It is the one decision here that cannot be undone.

Do I have to delete my eSIM when I get home?

No, and while the plan is still running you should not. A deleted eSIM cannot be brought back and what is left on it is gone.

Once the plan has ended the line is harmless. You can switch it off and leave it, or remove it if you want the space.

What you should do on the way home is set mobile data back to your own line.

Can I get a refund?

A plan is refunded in full on request as long as the eSIM has not been installed. A plan that was never installed is refunded with no questions asked.

Once the eSIM is installed, or once any data has been used, the plan is not refundable. The allowance has been issued to your phone by then and cannot be taken back.

There is one exception, and it is the important one: if the eSIM could not be activated in its coverage area through no fault of yours, we refund in full even though it was installed.
