Installing your eSIM

What is the one-tap install button on my order page?

It is Apple’s own eSIM install link. Tapped on an iPhone running iOS 17.4 or later, it hands the plan straight to iOS, which then walks you through adding the line.

Tap it on the iPhone that will use the plan. On an older iPhone, on Android, or on a computer it does nothing.

Everyone else uses the QR code or the manual details on the same page. All three install the same eSIM.

How do I install an eSIM on an iPhone?

If your iPhone is on iOS 17.4 or later, open your order page on that iPhone and tap the install button. iOS takes over and does the rest.

Otherwise use the QR code: Settings → Mobile Service (called Cellular on some versions) → Add eSIM → Use QR Code, then point the camera at the code on another screen.

If the iPhone you are installing on is the one showing the code, take a screenshot of it first. When the eSIM setup asks you to scan, choose that picture from your photos instead.

Do this on wifi, before you fly. An eSIM installs once, so do not delete it afterwards.

How do I install an eSIM without scanning a QR code?

Every order page carries the same details as text. Most Android phones give you one field and want the whole activation key: copy it from the order page and paste it in.

Some phones ask for two separate lines instead. Those are on the page too, as the SM-DP+ address and the activation code.

On an iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM → Use QR Code → Enter Details Manually, then paste the two values.

Copy and paste rather than retyping. The key is long and one wrong character fails without saying why.

Which iPhones support eSIM?

The iPhone XR and XS and everything newer, including both eSIM-capable iPhone SE models. That is a fact about the hardware.

The iPhone X, the 8 and anything older have no eSIM at all, and nothing we sell will work on them.

The one-tap install button on the order page needs iOS 17.4 or later. Older iPhones with eSIM use the QR code or the manual details instead.
