Plans, data and speed

Can I be cut off for using too much data?

Not for ordinary use. An unlimited plan slows after the daily amount rather than stopping, and there is no total cap to hit.

What can end a plan is using it in a way it is not for: reselling or sharing it, running machine-to-machine traffic, or using it for something illegal. The networks we buy from require that, and it is in the Acceptable Use rules.

Plans are for your own personal use on one phone.

What am I not allowed to do with a plan?

Plans are for your own personal use on one phone. Do not resell, rent or share one, or use it to provide a service to other people.

Nothing illegal, no spam, and no attacking networks or devices. No automated or machine-to-machine traffic beyond what a phone in normal use generates, unless the plan says it is allowed.

Do not try to get around fair-use limits, speed caps or the coverage area. A plan used in breach of these rules can be suspended or ended, because the networks we buy from require that.

What does unlimited data mean on your plans?

There is no total allowance to run out. Data keeps working for every day of the plan, and you are never cut off and never asked for more money.

Each day includes an amount that runs at full speed. Once a day passes that amount, the connection carries on at the slower speed the plan states, until the next day begins and full speed returns.

Both numbers are printed on every plan before you pay: how much runs at full speed each day, and what speed it continues at. We do not hide either in a fair-use footnote.

Can I share the connection over a personal hotspot?

Yes. Personal hotspot works on every plan we sell, so your laptop, tablet or a second phone can go online through this eSIM.

Whatever they use counts toward the same data as your phone. On an unlimited plan, the full-speed data for the day comes first; after it, the plan keeps going at the speed it states.

Several devices connected at once divide the speed between them.
