Your first eSIM
Choose your plan online, follow the installation guide, and be ready for the places you are going.

You need a phone that supports eSIM and is not locked to one operator. Check your exact model before you buy, because an eSIM installs once.
Three simple steps
Keep your plan instructions to hand: they carry the settings for your own eSIM.

Choose your destination and trip length.
Destinations & pricesInstall it at home on wifi, before the airport. An eSIM can only be installed once.

Menu names differ by model and software. Your plan instructions take priority over anything here.
Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM → Use QR Code, then point the camera at the code. If you are reading this on the phone itself, use the one-tap link on the order page instead.
Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM, then scan the QR code. The wording differs a little between Samsung, Pixel and other makers.
Before you go
When you land, turn data roaming on for the travel line — that is what lets it use a local network — and leave your own line switched on for calls and messages. Switch mobile data over to the travel eSIM so your own operator is not carrying it.
For most plans, when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy it. The plan page says so where a plan works differently.
Your first dayIf something goes wrong
Give it a minute, then check that data roaming is on for the travel line and that the travel line is the one selected for mobile data. Turning flight mode on and off makes the phone look for a network again.
Install it from the order page instead — the one-tap link does the same thing without a camera. An eSIM installs once, so do not delete it from the phone after installing it.
Once the day’s full-speed amount is used, an unlimited plan carries on at the slower speed printed on that plan until the next day begins. Local coverage and the time of day matter too.
A connection you choose for the day you want
Keep using data after your daily full-speed allowance.
Choose Drift for the smaller daily allowance, or Flow for more full-speed data every day.
The data runs on the eSIM; your usual SIM stays in the phone for calls and messages, so anyone who rings your number still reaches you.
Pick your plan on the website. No subscription. No automatic renewal.

Useful questionsYour phone needs to support eSIM and must not be locked to one carrier. Most recent iPhone, Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models support eSIM, but some models sold in certain countries do not — check your phone’s settings before you buy, because an eSIM installs once.

Yes. The eSIM is data only: your number stays on your own SIM for calls and texts, at your own carrier’s usual rates. Turn off data roaming on your home SIM so the travel eSIM carries your data.
No. You choose a plan on the website, give an email address and pay; the eSIM arrives by email with its QR code. No Flex app or account is required.

Why we think affordable data should be a choice.
PlansEvery country and every bundle we sell, with prices.
Real life comes first
Drift Drift includes 500 MB of full-speed data every day. After that allowance is used, data continues unlimited at up to 512 kbps until the next daily allowance.
Flow Flow includes 1 GB of full-speed data every day. After that allowance is used, data continues unlimited at up to 1 Mbps until the next daily allowance.
The daily allowance renews on the provider's schedule for the plan you choose. Every app and background activity uses the same allowance — it is not reserved for particular tasks, and no app is blocked. Destinations where a plan differs show their own daily amount and speed on the plan, and those are the ones that apply.
